Puma has announced the appointment of Dominique Gathier as the new head of its Teamsport business unit, a key division focused on footwear, apparel, and equipment for sports such as football, rugby, handball, and cricket.
The 45-year-old executive, who holds dual French and German citizenship, has been with Puma for 19 years. Over the years, Gathier has held several important roles in marketing and product development. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Product Line Management for Teamsport footwear and equipment. “With Dominique, an experienced leader will take over our Teamsport business unit,” said Maria Valdes, Puma’s Chief Product Officer. “He played a key role in developing some of our most successful performance products. I’m confident he will continue to build on Puma’s strong momentum and bring exciting new innovations that will inspire athletes, teams, and fans alike.”
In his new role, Gathier will lead the entire product team within the business unit. He will be responsible for shaping and executing product strategies and collaborating closely with Puma’s global partners, including professional clubs and sports associations.
