Maharashtra TET 2024 Registration Begins, Exam Scheduled for November 10

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune, has officially opened the registration window for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024. Candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary and upper-primary schools can now apply online through the official website, mahatet.in. The registration process will remain open until September 30, 2024.

Exam and Admit Card Details

As per the official schedule, the Maharashtra TET 2024 will take place on November 10, 2024. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards starting from October 28, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Paper 1 (Primary Classes 1-5): Candidates must have completed Class 12 and possess either a Diploma in Education (DEd) or a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree.

Paper 2 (Upper-Primary Classes 6-8): Candidates must have completed Class 12, hold a graduation degree, and have a DEd or BEd qualification.

For both Paper 1 and Paper 2: Applicants must meet the above qualifications, including having completed Class 12 and graduation along with a DEd or BEd degree.

Steps to Apply for Maharashtra TET 2024

1. Visit the official website, mahatet.in.
2. Click on the Login tab and register on the portal.
3. Complete the registration form with the required details.
4. Upload all necessary documents and pay the applicable fee.
5. Submit the form and print a copy for future reference.

Application Fee

SC/ST/Handicapped (40% or more disability):  
Rs 700 for Paper 1 or Paper 2  
Rs 900 for both papers
Other categories (OBC, EWS, Open, etc.):  
Rs 1,000 for Paper 1 or Paper 2  
Rs 1,200 for both papers

Exam Pattern

Maharashtra TET 2024 will consist of two papers, each containing 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The schedule for the exam is as follows:

Paper 1: 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM  
For candidates applying to teach Classes 1-5.
Paper 2: 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM  
For candidates applying to teach Classes 6-8.

Candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer, with no negative marking for incorrect responses.
