Her days were once numbered, and her mind was once turning in uncertainty. But, Maria Damain won the battle against the vicious claws of Breast Cancer, and she’s ready to take her life to unimaginable new heights alongside the group of talented clients she manages as CEO of Legacy Entertainment.
Her life is painted with significant milestones that tell of her resilience. Maria Damian is far from the typical Los Angeles entertainment CEO. Her bridge to Hollywood was quite natural, unplanned, and organically aligned with Maria’s authentic persona. Her disposition to serve others reflects her eternal adoration for her mother; Maria expressed that ,“If I could be only half as amazing as who she was, I would feel really lucky.” Rest assured, the courageous survivor is just as wonderful – having studied within the medical profession prior to transitioning career paths into the avenues of mega stardom.

When she began her career, she worked in the medical field as a healthcare professional living in California, lovingly supporting her family overseas in the Philippines. The pathway to studying medicine is a journey for only the most patient at heart, who have a passion for serving their neighbor selflessly.
Maria was devoted to her patients’ health, and often contemplated ways to further assist their wellness when she was off from the hospital schedule. Colleagues and friends of the young medical professional took her to unwind at fun concerts, which would mark a significant chapter of Maria’s destiny in more ways than one. At the concerts Maria attended, she socialized sincerely with the vibrant personalities in the room – building a network of like minded spirits working in different fields of innovation. In no time, Maria had found herself immersed in interest by friends working in production, entertainment, and talent management. Fast forward to today, and Maria is the CEO of Legacy Entertainment, CEO of Legacy Dialysis, and COO of the historic California Route 66 Museum.
“Preserving the California Route 66 Museum is a great honor,” said Maria, “In the years to come, it will still be standing, and it will have had a Filipina COO passionately developing its ongoing breath.” Since surviving the harrowing ordeal of a developed Breast Cancer diagnosis, Maria has begun to view the precious days of life in a more colorful array of hues. Becoming COO of the California Route 66 Museum was philanthropically rooted in showcasing Filipino roots into the makings of California history. “My mind is now always open to a new opportunity,” shared Maria.
“I need to evolve, my journey has taught me to evolve and expand when it’s time.” The entrepreneur utilizes twelve hospitals for her ‘Legacy Dialysis’ health corporation employing sixty medical professionals. “Surviving the clutches of a near-death experience will change you. My perspective has been refreshed on many things; I take more risks because every day I have now, it’s a bonus for me,” expressed venture CEO, Maria Damian.
“Entertainment is my passion because it was there for me during my Cancer diagnosis. After chemo, I was sunken into a ball, unable to feel anything but the weight of an unliftable pain. Watching funny videos made me remember what it was like to view life lighty. My heart would instantly warm when I would watch something emotional. It’s amazing what the media has the power to do in others, it could potentially save a life.”
This Summer, Maria has begun to manage singers, actresses, and actors – helping them grow in their craft, exalting their gifts to the Hollywood arena of long-lasting fame. At Legacy Entertainment, Maria pays close attention to a talent’s motivation in order to assess their hunger for brilliance. “I can sense rigor in someone, and that usually indicates to me that they have character. I need to feel connected to my clients in order to bridge them towards their dream. I enjoy what I do because I see life changes before my eyes. My life will forever be used to heal others, just as my mother would have done if she were here.”
