Supergoop! Names Lauren Weinberg as CMO to Lead Global Growth Strategy

The popular American sunscreen brand Supergoop! has announced a major leadership update. On Tuesday, the company revealed that Lauren Weinberg has been appointed as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective February 2.

In her new role, Lauren will lead key areas of the business, including brand marketing, social media, growth strategy, product innovation, creative direction, consumer insights, partnerships, and communications. She will play a key role in shaping how Supergoop! connects with customers and grows globally.

Lauren Weinberg brings nearly 20 years of marketing experience across technology and consumer-focused companies. Before joining Supergoop!, she was Chief Marketing Officer at Peloton, where she helped strengthen the brand’s connection with fitness lovers worldwide.

Before Peloton, she worked as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Square. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at well-known companies like Yahoo, MTV, AOL, Nielsen, and ComScore.

The CEO of Supergoop!, Melis del Rey, shared her excitement about the appointment. She described Lauren as a world-class marketing leader who knows how to balance creativity with strong business performance. According to her, Lauren’s leadership will help the brand grow stronger, connect more deeply with customers, and build long-term success as more people adopt sunscreen as a daily habit.

Supergoop! has been expanding quickly across the globe. In April last year, the brand entered the Indian market through a retail partnership with beauty platform Nykaa.

Lauren also shared her happiness about joining the brand. She said she has been a loyal user of Supergoop! products for years and feels connected to the company’s mission. She praised the brand for making daily sunscreen use enjoyable and stylish, which plays a big role in protecting skin and preventing skin cancer.
