Flipkart has been making steady financial progress as it aims to become profitable. The latest leadership change signals a new chapter for its fashion business. Flipkart Internet, the company’s main marketplace, saw revenue rise by 14 percent to Rs 20,493 crore in FY25, while losses fell by 37 percent to Rs 1,494 crore. These results show the company is working to balance growth with cost control.
As Myntra moves forward, it is going through a major leadership change. Sharon Pais is now the new head of Myntra, taking over from Nandita Sinha, who is leaving the company. Pais will report to Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy. She is expected to provide stability, as she has worked closely with both Myntra and Flipkart Fashion teams for several years.
Nandita Sinha, who was important in Myntra’s growth, will help with the transition in the next few months. She has been with Flipkart for over 10 years, managing categories such as fashion, home, and general merchandise. She also led loyalty and travel businesses, giving her broad experience.
Before joining Flipkart, Sinha worked at Procter & Gamble in sales and operations, managing brands such as Olay. This experience shaped how she approaches growing large consumer businesses.
Even with a strong base, Myntra is under more pressure. The fashion e-commerce market is getting crowded, with new quick commerce platforms like Slikk, Knot, and Zulu Club offering faster delivery. This change is making established companies rethink their supply chains and delivery speeds to keep up.
Profitability is still a big challenge. High return rates and frequent discounts continue to hurt margins in fashion retail. Myntra has grown a lot, but now it will be up to Sharon Pais to keep growing the business while also improving profits.
Flipkart’s improved financial results show progress, but this leadership change comes at a key time. With Sharon Pais now in charge, the focus will be on taking action, meeting faster market demands, and helping Myntra stay competitive while aiming for long-term profits.
