TORONTO – Alt-pop star Lights has announced A6EXTENDED, a deluxe edition of her sixth studio album A6, set for release on January 30, 2026. The expanded record adds eight brand-new tracks to the original project, which dropped earlier this year.
Leading the rollout is the first single, “Education,” which arrived Friday with an accompanying music video packed with hidden easter eggs for fans of her A6 universe. The track is a synth-heavy anthem that reflects on how love forces personal growth, delivering the kind of bold, cinematic pop that has long defined Lights’ sound.
The Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer described the new songs as a natural continuation of A6, which she wrote and produced entirely herself. The original album, released in May alongside a full visual counterpart, showcased her most personal work to date, drawing on themes of grief, growth, sensuality, and the chaotic beauty of love.
“The spirit and heart of A6 is in these new songs, it’s just an extension of its life,” Lights explained when announcing the project.

This latest chapter in the A6 era follows a busy summer, with Lights closing out a string of festival performances and a sold-out Alive Again North American tour. Next up, she will be honored this fall as the inaugural recipient of Billboard Canada’s Visionary Award at their Women in Music event, recognizing her nearly two-decade career defined by fearless creativity and reinvention.
The A6EXTENDED tracklist features fan favorites like “Alive Again” and “You’re Killing Me,” along with eight new cuts, including “Education.” Pre-orders are now live via Lights’ official site and Banshee Wines’ partner platform, with international tour dates expected to be announced soon.
With her genre-bending sound, hundreds of millions of streams, and collaborations with artists ranging from Travis Barker to deadmau5, Lights has built a career on consistently blurring boundaries while staying true to her artistic vision. A6EXTENDED looks set to continue that legacy, giving fans even more of the expansive world she’s created.
