It’s funny because when I refer to myself as Mariah, I think of a little girl who grew up with a single mom but when I think of LavagrllI think of a businesswoman who’s taken advantage of the reality of the world and turned it into financial freedom. Lavagrll was born almost 4 years ago and she’s fun, energetic, goal driven and healthy. I love this version of myself because it always home to be the person I’ve always wanted to be without any attachments to my old self that may have self-doubts.
WINNING “REALITY HOUSE” SEASON 3 WAS UNDOUBTEDLY A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE IN YOUR CAREER. HOW DID THE EXPERIENCE SHAPE YOU AS A CONTENT CREATOR AND INFLUENCER?
This was truly an amazing experience being able to fully immerse myself into a space where everyone around me does what I do to some certain degree really put things into perspective for me. I think this experience shaped me in the way most people wouldn’t assume which is to stay me. It’s easy to morph into the shadows of bigger creators when you’re around them so intimately but I felt that it would if I wasn’t being honest to myself.
YOUR CONTENT SPANS A WIDE RANGE OF GENRES, FROM COMEDY TO THOUGHT-PROVOKING COMMENTARY. HOW DO YOU DECIDE ON THE TOPICS AND THEMES FOR YOUR VIDEOS, AND WHAT DRIVES YOU TO EXPLORE SUCH DIVERSE CONTENT?
I truthfully just post and don’t think too much about it. If it does good, then awesome if it doesn’t then well … we’ll try again! I am continuously trying new things so documenting them has become a part of my routine which people seem to love! I love being active so being able to incorporate content creation with that has been my main goal!
AS BOTH A MODEL AND CONTENT CREATOR, YOU’VE COLLABORATED WITH PRESTIGIOUS BRANDS. HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR WORK IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY WITH YOUR PASSION FOR CREATING DIGITAL CONTENT?
It’s hard to consistently maintain a balance sometimes one outweighs the other but that’s something I’ve come to to love about my what I do. Being able to lean into this unpredictable career path has helped my mental tremendously!
YOUR TWITCH STREAMS HAVE GARNERED A DEVOTED COMMUNITY. CAN YOU SHARE YOUR SECRETS TO CREATING A WELCOMING AND INCLUSIVE ATMOSPHERE THAT FOSTERS GENUINE CONNECTIONS WITH YOUR AUDIENCE?
I think the main thing people like to see is consistency. Whether that be with personality or scheduling. People really like to feel like they can depend on you and a certain type of content.
MANY ASPIRING CREATORS LOOK UP TO YOU FOR INSPIRATION. WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THOSE WHO ARE JUST STARTING THEIR JOURNEY IN CONTENT CREATION AND HOPING TO BUILD A DEDICATED FAN BASE?
Make sure to keep your priorities in check. Quarterly. This can be very easy to lose sight of when in this scene and it’s a lot harder to get out of it then to remind yourself.
THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY CAN BE COMPETITIVE AND CHALLENGING. HOW DO YOU OVERCOME CREATIVE BLOCKS OR MOMENTS OF SELF-DOUBT, AND WHERE DO YOU FIND MOTIVATION TO KEEP PUSHING FORWARD?
This is still something I’ve been working on. Earlier in life I felt that my adversity always kicks starts some type of creative spree. But since as of lately I use physical activity and nature to bring me back and to get rid of the noise. Meditation has helped a lot as well. Being able to clear my mind and be in the moment feels like a factor reset for my brain.
YOUR POSITIVE IMPACT ON YOUR AUDIENCE IS EVIDENT. HOW DO YOU USE YOUR PLATFORM TO SPREAD MEANINGFUL MESSAGES AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO FOLLOW YOU?
I just be me! I don’t stray too far away from my usual content, and I think people appreciate that because it sends the message that despite how much bigger I may grow I’ll still be me.

I am an Adrenaline junky! I’m currently getting my sky diving license then hopefully pilot!
