David and Victoria Beckham have closed the sale of their luxury Miami penthouse in One Thousand Museum, the sculptural residential tower designed by architect Zaha Hadid.

The property sold for $25 million, a significant gain from the couple’s reported $19.8 million purchase price in 2020.

On the 59th floor of the 62-storey tower at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard, the 9,200-square-foot residence offers panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

The penthouse features:

  • Five bedrooms
  • Six-and-a-half bathrooms
  • Floor-to-ceiling glazing
  • Expansive open-plan living spaces

Designed to maximize light and views, the residence reflects the tower’s bold architectural DNA: dramatic yet fluid, structural yet elegant.

One Thousand Museum is widely regarded as one of Hadid’s most iconic residential projects and as one of the final works completed by her firm following her passing in 2016. It remains one of only two American residential projects undertaken by Zaha Hadid Architects.

The building is recognizable for its white, curving exoskeleton. This structural feature reduces the need for interior columns and creates a futuristic, sculptural presence on Miami’s skyline.

Amenities within the tower include:

  • A sky lounge
  • An aquatic centre
  • A sundeck
  • The only private helipad in Miami

Positioned opposite the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and the Pérez Art Museum Miami, the tower occupies one of the city’s most culturally significant corridors.

The sale comes about a year after the Beckhams acquired a $72.3 million waterfront compound on Miami Beach’s North Bay Road. The nine-bedroom estate, designed by the Florida-based firm Choeff Levy Fischman, signals the couple’s continued commitment to high-value real estate investments in the city.

Their decision to part ways with the Hadid-designed penthouse appears less about downsizing and more about portfolio evolution, transitioning from a sky-high architectural icon to expansive waterfront living.

Zaha Hadid, often referred to as the “Queen of the Curve,” revolutionized contemporary architecture with her fluid, deconstructivist forms and parametric design approach. From the MAXXI Museum in Rome to the Guangzhou Opera House and the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku, her buildings redefined global skylines.

One Thousand Museum stands as a rare residential expression of her vision, merging structural innovation with artistic ambition.

With this $25 million transaction, the Beckhams close a chapter tied to one of Miami’s most architecturally significant addresses. The property was as much a design statement as it was a luxury home.
