When brainstorming new show ideas for the WWE, Vince McMahon came up with Raw as an audience-grabbing concept that would bring the event into millions of living rooms. This gamble worked: as the top-rated wrestling event in the world, Raw almost always delivers high-quality competition, amazing storytelling, and fantastic and unforgettable events. April 14, 2025, most definitely brought the goods again! Let’s dive in and see what happened on this big day.
An Eventful April 14 Competition!
Now, it’s fair to say that every Raw brings drama, excitement, and unreal action to the screen. That’s what brings fans to their TVs and computers week after week! So, what made the April 14th edition stand out? Let’s take a look at some of the best matches of the night to get an inside scoop on what went down. If you somehow missed it, here’s your chance to get caught up!
A Dramatic Win for Bayley
So, just why should you care about this episode of Raw? Well, the unbelievably talented Bayley took on the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Liv Morgan, for the first time in four years: how’s that for starters? These two always, always bring amazing competition to the ring, and April 14th’s event was no different. What happened next was a masterclass in wrestling:
- Morgan tried pulling off the Three Amigos on the outside to take Bayley out but only hit two before getting hit with a suplex off the ring steps
- Later, Morgan took a flying leap off the top rope, only to get caught with a stunner by Bayley that threw off her stride
- A near count-out by Bayley that was broken up when Raquel Rodriguez put Morgan’s foot on the rope in a classic “now-you-see-me-now-you-don’t” move
- Lyra Valkyria jumping in to stop Morgan from hitting the Oblivion (undoubtedly a match-ender), giving Bayley time to hit the jackknife cover for the win
Rey Mysterio Goes At It With Julius Creed
The generation-spanning legend Rey Mysterio took on Julius Creed, an event that quickly turned into chaos as American Made and The LWO got into it at the ringside. After the ref ejected anyone who shouldn’t have been there, Creed showed off a little by hauling Mysterio up the steps into the ring in a suplex move designed to embarrass the proud legend.
Later, Mysterio looked ready to take out Creed with his hard-to-stop 619 but lost his stride when El Grande Americano interfered with his move. Did that cost him the match? No, Mysterio just hit up the 619 to beat Julius. Unfortunately, it was a Pyrrhic victory as Americano attacked and severely injured Mysterio in a move that will make their WrestleMania 41 bout personal.
Other Bouts You Gotta Know
If you have time to look them up (and a subscription to boot), try to catch these matches as soon as possible to catch up with what’s going on in the world of WWE:
- A.J. Styles beats Karrion Kross after a cheap shot from Logan Paul
- Penta and Fin Balor end in a no-contest after a long, agonizing bout
- Seth Rollins gives Roman Reigns and CM Punk a true beatdown
- Jey Uso brings his trademark charisma while promising YeetMania
Another Raw in The Books
While April 14th’s Raw was unforgettable and definitely must-see television for wrestling fans, the amazing truth is this: it’s just an average event for this storied series. Just ponder that for a minute. A competition packed with excitement and unreal athleticism is only another day at the office for the Raw crew. Clearly, the WWE is firing on all cylinders right now and bringing the kind of next-level entertainment that the league was created to produce. Not bad at all!
