An Interview With Rising Star Jase Cutrell

Jase Cutrell Interview

Jase Michael Cutrell was born in North Carolina. Jase made the whole staff in labor and delivery laugh when he was born, as soon as he arrived, he screamed out so loud, the doctor said, “his lungs are definitely clear!” But he did have a rough start to life, with jaundice as a newborn. Then at one years old, Jase had a non-cancerous cyst removed off his cheek. At two years old, he had an unexpected accident, and broke his femur, sending Jase to the children’s hospital to get an external rod and pins put in for six weeks, but that never stopped him. He has always had an independent spirit from day one, showing the world nothing can stop him. Once Jase is shown how to do something, he is ready to run with it and do it himself. Due to being homeschooled, Jase can fly and has more freedom to learn and do things most kids do not. He has learned how to cook, drive a farm tractor, crafting, and even using a saw! Jase enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys swimming, playing outside, and doing flips on the trampoline,

HELLO JASE CUTRELL, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! WHAT GOT YOU INTO ENTERTAINMENT THAT MADE YOU REALIZE THAT IT WAS YOUR CHOSEN PATH?
I have always enjoyed dressing up, And making others smile has always been something that came naturally to me, from day one. A few years ago, I started showing interest in not only watching movies, but beyond the movie. I wanted to know more about the actor, where they came from, who they were. It was then that I realized that acting, modeling, and being in commercials is something that I would like to do. It was also  like God told me this was something I can do so that I can be a light to the celebrity world.

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING HAVE YOU RECEIVED SO FAR AHEAD OF IPOP?
Before iPOP! I have started dance classes, started teaching myself piano, I’m part of plays at my church. I also started taking training from Robert Vito, and Conner Weil prior to the iPOP! event. I also learned so much more at iPOP!, taking some boot camps with Robert Vito, Derick Maki, Suzanne Von Shaack, and working the showcase with Bridgett Foster. After iPOP!, I have signed up for classes with Craig Campobasso, and I plan to continue with more training and classes after to grow more.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE ROLES/CHARACTERS YOU’VE BEEN INVOLVED IN?
Well, if you don’t know, I am new and will be rising star, so at this time, I am working on getting some roles and characters under my belt, until then, being a part of the “Decedents” showcase at iPOP! has been such an amazing ice breaker for me with being on stage, and what it will be like! I love it so much, I cannot wait until I get my first major role!

WHAT ACCENTS AND DIALECTS CAN YOU DO?
Sign language and I am still learning how to speak with it. I did use sign language in my dance competition at iPOP! I felt like it was important to include a part of that in my dance!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE PROJECTS THAT YOU TYPICALLY PREFER?
So far, I have really enjoyed improv, acting, commercials, and modeling! I do enjoy dance, but I am more interested in acting, modeling, and commercials!

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR AN AUDITION?
I do breathing exercises similar to coping skills! Then I do some stretches, and of course I’m a 9 year old boy, so I like to bounce around to calm my mind. I do these before and after because it’s important to not only prepare for an audition, but then after, no matter what the outcome. Just getting on the stage is a win in itself, so treat yourself good!

HAS THERE BEEN ONE PARTICULAR MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE SO FAR THAT YOU’RE MOST PROUD OF?
Taking the leap this year to go beyond my home, my hometown, my state, to start living my dream to be a star! I have never been on a plane, and I had to get on a plane for the first time. I have been to surrounding states around my state of North Carolina, and I got off the plane that I flew on to Los Angeles. Then I attended the 21st Annual iPOP! Summer 2025 Event! This has been such a huge and big adventure for me, and it left me so excited and wanting more of working towards that star!!!

WHO ARE YOUR INFLUENCES GROWING UP THAT HELPED TO MOLD YOU INTO WHO ARE TODAY?
Well, I’m still growing up, but so far number one has been God, I have grown up in home that God comes first, in everything you do. Than my parents, my mom and dad both have always supported me and my siblings, in whatever we want to do. They always have told us, we can be whatever we want to be, as long as we believe in ourselves, if you work towards it, and pick something you will love to do for the rest of your life. Than my siblings, they are supportive in what I do, they help me at home with my self-tapes, my acting, and just being that support system that I need. my aunt Kitty, and uncle Mark, they have been there not only for me but for my family when no one else was. We don’t know what we would do without them as a support.

IF YOU HAD ONE MESSAGE TO GIVE YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Never stop trying, when you hear no, it will be a yes later, get back up, work harder, and try again! Because failure brings growth, and growth brings success!

IF YOU WEREN’T A PASSIONATE ACTOR WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU BE DOING?
If I wasn’t pursuing acting, modeling, or commercials, I would be a preacher, because I can still be a light to others. God put us on this earth to show others about him, and I would continue doing so, just in another way.

When we start with a dream, sometimes we are not sure how to go about it, or where to even start. That’s where events like iPOP! can help, because it has inspired me and helped me how to find the direction of my dream, and how to grab it and go!
