At La Défense Arena in Paris, Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner won the Paris Masters 1000 title by beating Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 7-6 in an exciting final. This win gave Sinner his first Masters title in France and helped him reclaim the World No. 1 ranking from Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz.

Sinner played flawlessly throughout the tournament and did not lose a single set. He is the first player to win a Masters 1000 title without dropping a set since Alcaraz did it at Indian Wells in 2023.

At 24 years old, Sinner has now won 26 straight indoor matches, a streak that began at the 2023 Davis Cup. His steady play, strong shots, and ability to stay calm under pressure have made him one of the most reliable players on tour this season.

After the match, Sinner said: “It’s huge, honestly. It was such an intense final, and we both knew what was on the line. The past few months have been amazing, and seeing all our hard work pay off makes me incredibly happy.”

Sinner’s win has made the ATP Year-End No. 1 race even more exciting. He is now just 1,050 points behind Alcaraz, so their fight for the top spot will continue at the ATP Finals in Turin, where Sinner is the defending champion.

Although Sinner won the trophy, Felix Auger-Aliassime also played well. By reaching his second Masters 1000 final, the Canadian has improved his chances of qualifying for the ATP Finals. He is now eighth in the Live Race standings, just ahead of Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti, and will try to secure his spot at the upcoming ATP 250 event in Metz.

Auger-Aliassime challenged Sinner in the second set and saved all five break points he faced. However, a missed forehand in the tie-break gave Sinner the advantage to win the match.

This win in Paris is Sinner’s fourth tour-level title of 2025 and his fifth Masters 1000 title overall. He now leads Auger-Aliassime 3–2 in their career meetings, with recent victories in Cincinnati and the US Open.

With his strong performance in Paris and return to World No. 1, Sinner has shown he is one of tennis’s top stars. As the tour moves to Turin for the season finale, many will watch to see if he can finish his great year as the ATP Year-End No.1 champion.
