Mason has been a very special boy since the day he was born. There has always been something very different and special about him. He learned to talk very young and was reading quite well at 18 months. By the time he was three, he was reading chapter books and could explain the story in detail. Everyone who would meet him just laughed at the amazing things he would say. Mason has such a big heart. Even at this young age, he was very empathetic to anyone who needed a friend. We truly believe he is an angel on earth.
Mason is now a fun loving young man. He loves to read and learn as much as possible. Mason loves science, math, and biology. He is our random fact, kid! He tells everyone that he meets some amazing scientific or mathematical facts while quoting percentages. Mason is a very unique person who brings joy to all around him. He is a genuine lover of people and can hold an intelligent conversation with anyone he meets. Mason is emotionally mature and has deep feelings about the world around him. He makes friends wherever he goes and leaves quite the impression! Mason is very bright, and at the top of his class, where he was selected for the accelerated learning program. He also takes part in the dual language Chinese immersion program. He is very analytical and loves to know exactly how things work.
Mason is a funny, smart, and caring young man who brings a smile to all! The new venture of acting and entertaining has brought a new excitement into his life. He loves the memorizing aspect, but most of all, he truly loves all of the people he has met so far.
HELLO MASON MEARS, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! WHAT GOT YOU INTO ENTERTAINMENT THAT MADE YOU REALIZE THAT IT WAS YOUR CHOSEN PATH?
Well, I just love meeting new people and getting to know everyone! I really love making people happy with my friendly personality. I like being silly and making people laugh. I know these are talents that I have been given to share with the world. I’ve been told by most everyone I meet that I should get into acting and entertainment, so I went for it! I told my mom, that “it’s not about the rewards, but the good feeling you get in your heart”.
WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DID YOU RECEIVED AHEAD OF IPOP!?
I have done many workshops and boot camps with NYLA Talent. I have also done one on one sessions with Connor Weil and Robert Vito.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS THAT YOU WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN?
I would love to be someone’s little brother in a movie or series. I always thought it would be funny to be smarter than my siblings and have them come to me for advice. I would also love to do voiceover work. I was told by many agents I have met that I should do this. They said it’s because I talk eloquently and have good fluctuation.
WHAT ACCENTS AND DIALECTS CAN YOU DO?
I love to do British accents. The Harry Potter movies are my favorite! I love to talk like Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. I also speak Mandarin I have 2yrs + Chinese/Mandarin language immersion at school, and plan to stick with it through high school.
WHAT PROJECTS YOU PREFER TO TAKE PART IN?
TV and Screen. I would love to be on a Disney series or Nickelodeon series. Then we would all feel like a family! I would also love to star in movies.
HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR AN AUDITION?
I prepare for auditions in many ways. I am able to learn my lines very quickly through practice. I do my tongue twisters to loosen up my voice. I do my calm breathing exercises. I tell myself to think that I am talking to my friends and to just have fun!
HAS THERE BEEN ONE PARTICULAR MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE SO FAR THAT YOU’RE MOST PROUD OF?
I am proud of myself for doing so good in school. I am top of my class and love to help my teachers and other students. I love to read so much! It makes me feel good to share what I learn with others. I always feel good when I help other people. Especially when I make friends with those who don’t have many.
Another thing that I am most proud of is being invited to iPOP! I am so proud to have faced the fears that come along with auditioning. I’ve learned to just have fun under pressure, and to always be yourself. It was the most fun I have ever had!
IF YOU HAD ONE MESSAGE TO GIVE TO YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
The one piece of advice that I would give to myself is to always say, “today is going to be the best day of my life, again!” A quote that he learned from Loren Lahav.
IF YOU WEREN’T A PASSIONATE ACTOR, WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU BE DOING?
I love love, love, math, science, and reading! I would want to be an astrophysicist or a rocket scientist, even if I was a passionate actor. I also love helping people in any way that I can. So, I want to start a charity. I’m always concerned for other people‘s well-being. I want to help everyone have a home and everything that they need, throughout the entire world. I tell my mom and dad this every day.

DO YOU PLAY ANY SPORTS OR INSTRUMENTS, IF SO WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE?
I love swimming! I’ve been in lessons every year since I was 2 years old. I also like to play soccer.
WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM JOB BE – ON TV?
Truthfully, I would love to be in a series with Connor Weil! I can totally play with his little brother, or younger self. Or I would love to star in my own series. It would be awesome to play a young smart scientist who comes up with crazy inventions and solves mysteries.
FOR FUN! IF YOU WENT BACK TO THE GOLDEN ERA OF HOLLYWOOD, WHICH ACTOR DO YOU RESONATE WITH MOST AND WHY?
I love the Little Rascals and Shirley Temple! It would have been so amazing to be in that group of young actors.
WHAT IS YOUR THING TO DO WITH YOUR FRIENDS?
I like to play outside with my friends. We love to pretend and come up with fun scenarios to act out. We also love to learn how things work by analyzing them and taking them apart if possible. I love water play with my friends, such as swimming and playing in the sprinklers.
HAVE YOU SET ANY 2025 PROFESSIONAL GOALS TO ACHIEVE?
Yes. I want to continue working on my goals as an actor and an entertainer. I want to build my resume by doing more workshops and one-on-one training with people in the industry. I want to work on some great projects that I hope to receive from potential agents. I just want to work work work!
WHAT DID YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT ATTENDING IPOP!?
What I loved most about iPOP! was all the new friends I made. I also became more and more proud of myself as I worked hard to do my very best. I am now more confident than I have ever been.
